Now Accepting Applications for the 2026 Youth Tour

June 2026

For over 60 years the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour has brought high school students to Washington, D.C. for a week in June. One lucky winner from CPI’s service territory will travel with other high school students from across Oregon for this one in a lifetime experience. While in Washington D.C., youth tour participants will have the opportunity see their nation’s capital up close, learn about the political process and interact with Oregon’s political delegation. During this weeklong trip students will gain a personal understanding of American history and the role electrical cooperative have and continue to play in shaping rural America.

Who Can Enter?

Any current year high school sophomore or junior who attends public or private school and whose full-time residence receives electric service from Consumers Power is eligible to enter.

Immediate family members of any director or full-time employees of CPI are not eligible.

What is the Timeline?

Deadline for applications is 5 pm on February 5, 2026. Interviews for finalists will be conducted beginning the end of February. The winner will be announced in March . This year’s Youth Tour is scheduled to take place June 14 through June 21, 2026.
