ATTENTION: The utility industry continues to experience significant material shortages, rising construction costs, and extended procurement lead times. These challenges may impact both the timeline and overall cost of your project. We encourage you to plan accordingly and appreciate your patience and understanding. 

To begin the process, please complete the application below. Please note that all service wire from Consumers Power’s primary pole to the meter must be installed underground and in conduit. The applicant is responsible for trenching and conduit installation outside of public rights-of-way. Before installation, please ensure your electrician follows the CPI meter base standards. Failure to meet these standards may delay service connection.

A $250 field investigation fee is required before construction applications can be submitted. Applications for Distributed Generation Additions (solar, wind, or hydro) do not require a field investigation fee.
